Modern drug delivery demands precision, adaptability, and efficiency, driving the development of smart nanocarriers - engineered systems that respond to physical and biological cues for enhanced therapeutic delivery. At Fetse Lab, we develop stimuli-responsive nanocarriers that leverage pH, enzymes, temperature, light, and redox gradients to enable controlled release, improved biodistribution, and targeted drug delivery.
Our work integrates peptide-functionalized nanoparticles, lipid-based systems, and polymeric carriers to optimize drug stability and cellular uptake. These smart nanocarrier systems offer higher therapeutic efficacy with reduced systemic toxicity. Through advanced biomaterial engineering, this work is paving the way for the future of intelligent drug delivery systems.
